The Chapter 3 of Fortnite has dropped this weekend and Dwayne Johnson and Spider-Man will join the fight in this new season. Dwayne Johnson will be joining the latest chapter as the “Foundation” character who will be greeting Fortnite players into this new chapter. He will also be joined by none other than your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man, who will be a new playable character in the game.
A “Chapter” in Fortnite is basically a new beginning to the new game as it brings with it a new overhauled map, new gameplay mechanics and a significant update to the game’s continuing storyline.
One of the new mechanics being incorporated into the game is sliding. Apex Legends players would definitely know this mechanic by heart as it’s one of the long standing mechanics of the game. It will be interesting to see this being used in Fortnite.
A new chapter in Fortnite usually only comes once a year so for this to be dropped this holiday is huge for Fortnite fans. The map that every player once knew has once again been “flipped” or overhauled to unveil never-before-seen areas that players can explore.
Spider-Man Joins Fortnite
With Spider-Man being a new playable character in Fortnite, they have also added the Daily Bugle building into the game. On December 11, players will also be able to get Spider-Man’s web shooters as a new mechanic added to the game. This will allow players to swing around on the island just like the webslinger himself.
At the heels of Spider-Man finally arriving in Marvel’s Avengers, Fortnite’s version of the webslinger seems to be far more enticing for those players wanting to play Spider-Man than the failed attempt of Marvel’s Avengers trying to redeem itself.
