If playing alone is not your cup of tea, The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes might be something you will be interested in. With a Movie Night mode where you can play with at least 4 of your friends or family, playing a horror game has not been this more enjoyable. Take up on this tale of 5 soldiers trapped in an ancient underground temple, as they fight their way out to survive the nightmare they were placed in.

Alan Wake Remastered

Alan Wake Remastered takes us back to this hit game. A world full of shadows that gets frightened at the sight of light. An interesting mechanic that’s reminiscent of the enemies in the Netflix series Locke and Key. If you want to test your courage in the dark, why not play this game with the lights off?

In Sound Mind

If you thought horror games are not scary, think again. In Sound Mind is one of those games where you think you can expect the jump scare but will prove you wrong in every corner. Delve into the minds of people who are battling their own demons and see these demons materialize in front of you. This game will definitely be a worthwile jumpscarefest experience.

The Medium

The Medium was recently released for the PlayStation 5 and I do believe it’s a game worth playing if you wanted to know what’s it like to be in the shoes of a Medium. Uncover items and hidden doorways as you channel the abilities of Marianne. Is it scarier than most games? No not really, but I do remember the parts where you have to hide from the monster to be the most exciting parts of the game.

Death Stranding: Director’s Cut

If you want to play a horror game but also want to enjoy beautiful sceneries, then Death Stranding is something that you might want to try. Although you’d probably end up walking 90% of the time in this game, encountering the BT’s is not something to laugh about. These entities can find you with just a sound so you’d have to be super quiet around them. Encounters with them can be super tense and had me at the edge of my seat all the time.
