Our friendly neighborhood web-slinger, Spider-Man, is still guaranteed to arrive in Crystal Dynamics’ looter-hero brawler, Marvel’s Avengers, later this year according to the studio. As reported by Screen Rant, the Senior Game Designer, Scott Walters, confirms that Spider-Man is coming out this year as a PlayStation-exclusive DLC.

Talking to Screen Rant, Walters sounds confident they are able to deliver Spider-Man later this year for PlayStation owners as the studio is “still on track” and that we all should wait for further announcements in the next coming months.

“In terms of what we can say now, we’ve always scheduled and looked to bring Spider-Man out in 2021 for PlayStation owners,” Walters told the publication. “That is still on track, so we’ll have more announcements later on this year,” said Walters.”

As of late, delays have been more frequent due to challenges presented during this pandemic.

In other Marvel’s Avengers news, the War of Wakanda expansion is set to release today. The game will receive a major UI/UX redesign to further improve the game’s overall experience in Patch 2.0. Plus, changes to the game’s Cosmetics, Gear, and Challenge cards are also in place. So we’re excited to hop right back in Marvel’s Avengers to get a taste of those quality of life improvements.

Marvel’s Avengers is available on PS4 and PS5. Our mainstream gaming site Sirus Gaming has also reviewed Marvel’s Avengers if you want to check it out.
