Telltale’s The Walking Dead: The Final Season continues development

Skybound Entertainment recently posted an update of their official website that the development of the final episodes of the game is now resuming. The announcement was released after the recent revelations of old Telltale games getting removed from certain platforms as a result of a reported asset liquidation.

It’s been a ton of work logistically and legally to get us to a place where we’re able to roll up our sleeves and get to the actual work. […] We’re excited to let you know that many of the talented, passionate team members who originally worked on the game are resuming development efforts today!

The gaming company stated that the release dates of both episodes will be revealed later after they have made more development. They assured the fans that the previous episodes before Telltale Studios’ closure will not be required to buy again.
