SoulCalibur VI Gets New Update For Balance And New DLC Info

SoulCalibur VI Nightmare

Game company Bandai Namco Entertainment recently announced that popular 3D action fighting video game SoulCalibur VI will get a new update.

SoulCalibur VI upcoming update details

The upcoming update, 1.11, is actually quite different than the recently released update, 1.10. 1.10 was released for the DLC character 2B from NieR: Automata and it was a main priority at that time.

1.11 gets several changes added in and game developer Project Soul is attempting to improve the online matchmaking process. They are trying to achieve this to assure that everyone meets similarly experienced opponents online. Here are the inclusions:

  • Changes to stages that made it easier for players to get a Ring Out” win than others.
  • Various Hitbox Issues, mentioned in the stream were Astaroth and Cervantes.
  • Removing differences of the ways a move works offline and online to harmonize the gameplay in both modes.
  • Balance changes for all characters to balance the roster in general but also to emphasize the design philosophies behind each of the characters.

Upcoming DLC

Some news also got revealed about the DLCs coming to the game. There are at least two more DLC characters coming to it and the next DLC is all about the Create-A-Soul Mode. There will be two packs with over 100 items with the first one coming soon after the upcoming patch. It will include new costume parts, items from previous game, and some from characters that did not make into the recent title of the series. There will be music from the previous SoulCalibur games included as well.

The team wants to release some of the items of the upcoming DLC for free, but there were no details given about these items yet. The game is now available on PlayStation 4.
