Game company Sony Interactive Entertainment recently announced that it has officially shut down servers of more PlayStation 3 multiplayer servers.
Sony shuts down more PS3 multiplayer servers
Since Sony is slowly cutting off its support for the PS3 console, it is now slowly shutting down several multiplayer server left and right. Some of these are for the Naughty Dog games like Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, and The Last of Us.
The game company did warn its player base that they would be shutting the PS3 servers way back in June, and today is that day they implement it. It also warned them of the event happening today, so the multiplayer fans had the whole long weekend to enjoy the last days of the servers.
PS4 versions not affected
PlayStation 4 owners have to note that the PS4 versions of the games are not affected. All of the games in remastered forms will still have their multiplayer servers alive and intact.
The PS3 versions multiplayer servers will shut down, but the single player mode will still be alive.
