Red Dead Redemption 2 Reveals New Information Regarding Voice Actors

Red Dead Redemption 2 blue death

Rockstar Games co-founder Dan Houser revealed some new information regarding their upcoming open-world video game Red Dead Redemption 2. He talked about the number of voice actors in it.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will have a lot of voice actors

Houser revealed in an interview with a publication that there are 700 voice actors in this upcoming open-world video game and confirms that none of them are name actors. He further said that he directed the actors himself at some point of the development of the game. He recalled working with the late Burt Reynolds on Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. They disagreed on one particular scene on its direction. He said that:

I don’t want to speak ill of the dead, poor bugger, but we don’t bring in name actors anymore because of their egos and, most important of all, because we believe we get a better sense of immersion using talented actors whose voices you don’t recognize.

The co-founder also remembered he had some issues working with another voice actor, the member of Public Enemy Chuck D on San Andreas. He did say that rappers really want to do the work right and had some good experience with pop stars, but they have not hired such characters for a long time so they got none named actors now.
