Indie game developer Double Damage Games recently announced Rebel Galaxy Outlaw and it might be launched next year.

Rebel Galaxy Outlaw release window first quarter

Double Damage Games revealed that this will be a sort-of prequel to the first game of the game series Rebel Galaxy. The developers are planning to release this game on the first quarter of 2019. It will be available on PlayStation 4.

The co-founder of the indie development studio Travis Baldree is proud to say that this is the most ambitious game they have worked on. He went on to say:

We took what worked from the last title, and then went a little crazy. It’s got a stronger focus on story and place, a huge jump in detail, and while it still works great for folks with a HOTAS at home, I think we’ve managed to make space combat accessible and fun for everybody else in a way that nobody has managed before. We’ve got a lot more to share in the months ahead.

The setting for this game will be 34 years before the first game’s timeline. The whole game’s story will be located in a series of star system closer to Earth. Players will take control of a character named Juno Markev. She is a smuggler who has really bad luck and now she is back with thieving after some events made her go back into it.

Players will be able to enjoy 20 hours of music, a lot more of side activities compared to the previous game, and a space combat system that has some unique look.
