Game company Sony Interactive Entertainment recently announced its latest financial results for its popular hardware, the PlayStation 4 console.
PlayStation 4 console now reaches new heights
Sony announced that the worldwide total shipments for the PS4 console have now reached 100 million. This was revealed in its financial results for the three months that ended last June 30.
At the first quarter of the fiscal year 2019, a total of 3.2 million PS4s were shipped. This is also equal to the 3.2 million units that were shipped during the same period the previous fiscal year.
Sony revealed additional statistics too like the 36.2 million PlayStation Plus subscribers as of June 30. The PS4 software also sold 42.9 million units in the first quarter of fiscal year 2019. 53 percent of those sales were full game software digital downloads.
