Whispers from the rumor mill reveal that game publisher Atlus might be cooking up a new version of Persona 5, which will be adding R to the title.
Persona 5 R might just come true
According to the rumors, the R version will be the enhanced version of the game and might get announced soon. Way back in April 2017, Atlus registered several domain names and that included P5R.JP, which could mean the R version. The same domain was updated just recently, and that might just signal that it will be announced real soon.
Other sites registered
Aside from P5R.JP, other related sites have been seen recently and were registered. These are the domains as of Dec. 26:

- P5M.JP
- P5S.JP
- Persona5B.JP
- Persona5M.JP
- Persona5R.JP
- Persona5S.JP
The sites were not handled by Atlus directly, but by Ryu’s Office. It is a team that has assisted the publisher in registering other websites in the past.
Hopefully there will be more information later on. The latest version of the game is already available on PlayStation 4.
