Game publisher Koei Tecmo and Team Ninja has a reason to celebrate right now because it was revealed that NiOh has sold millions of copies all over the world.

Koei Tecmo recently revealed that the popular souls-genre video game has now sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide, which a great number for sales. Today, it is celebrating its second anniversary and now with this achievement.

About the game

The game is loosely based on the Sengoku period in Japan and mixed in some supernatural elements in it. It is set at the dawn of the 17th century and the main character is the Irishman named William. He uses different kinds of Japanese weaponry and actually masters them in order to defeat his foes. This game actually garnered high scores from different reviewers due to its excellent gameplay.

The game is currently available on PlayStation 4 with a Complete Edition as well. The sequel is still up in the works.
