Fallout 76 has been garnering a lot of controversy lately. And this has sparked the rumor that the game itself may go free-to-play due to the poor sales and poor player reception. Bethesda has spoken out against the rumor in Twitter denying that their game will ever be free-to-play.
There is no truth to this rumor.

And that’s the end of that. Fallout 76 will continue to be a paid for multiplayer experience. If you had paid any amount to play the game, then you can understand why going free-to-play would enrage some players who did pay for the product.
Still, even to this day, many players don’t have a good opinion of this game. The game has been a source of infamy for Bethesda. Whether or not they can fix the issues of the game and get back into the good graces of the fans, we’ll find out in 2019.
Fallout 76 is available on PS4 and other platforms.
