Game publisher THQ Nordic recently announced that the long-awaited sequel Dead Island 2 will have another developer to take control of development.
Dead Island 2 now under control of another studio
The new developer for the upcoming video game sequel is Dambuster Studios. It is actually the one behind video game Homefront: The Revolution. They will be the lead developer now and also marks the third change in developers that this project has had.
The sequel was supposed to be originally developed by Tecland who were also behind the popular game series Dying Light. Yager Development then took the project before later being dropped by Deep Silver. Sumo Digital then was up to the task, but now Dambuster Studios has taken it up. It has been over five years already since it was first developed.
The game is still set to launch on PlayStation 4. No release date revealed.
