Days Gone: Developer Asked to Help Sony About Multiplayer Features

Days Gone

Game developer Saber Interactive recently told a certain gaming publication that they approached Sony about helping them with the multiplayer feature for upcoming video game Days Gone.

Days Gone might’ve gotten a multiplayer

This might not be the case anymore since the idea was scrapped, but Saber Interactive once approached Sony so that they could contribute with adding a multiplayer feature on the upcoming game. CEO Matt Karch said that they tried to use their work on World War Z as an example for what they could do on the new game. Unfortunately that did not happen and Sony only wanted to focus on the main game instead. Check out his statement:

Days Gone, it’s a single-player experience. At some point I went to Sony and said, “I’ve seen what you’re doing with Days Gone. Look what we’re doing with World War Z. Maybe we can help you with a multiplayer component.” But they were obviously too focused, and understandably, on what they needed to do to get that game out.

The game will launch on April 26, 2019. It will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4.
