Borderlands 3 To Have Similar Ping System From Popular Battle Royale

Borderlands 3

Game developer Gearbox recently revealed new information about the revamped system of upcoming video game sequel Borderlands 3.

Borderlands 3 will have better co-op system

Gearbox recently announced during a Guardian Con panel its plans for making the upcoming game’s co-op more accessible. One of the methods the developers are incorporating is an Apex Legends-style ping system.

This new system the developers added allows players to mark enemies, NPCs, loot chests, and random map locations. Players do not need to commit to chat anymore if they end up playing with random players online.

Gearbox revealed other upgrades as well. The panelists revealed re-mappable controls, and subtitles and closed captioning options. There is also the level syncing system that allows players to play with anyone, whether or not they are on the same level.

The game will launch on Sept. 13. It will be available on PlayStation 4.
