Respawn Entertainment’s free-to-play battle royale game, Apex Legends, is dropping in its new weapon today. This is one of the first updates since its launch more than 2 weeks ago; just like what the roadmap of Apex Legends for 2019 showed, from February 2019 to March 2019 players will get new content such as weapons, Legends, loots, and its Battle Pass. While the plan was to release this fresh new content in March, the studio is pretty excited for it and let the new gun loose today.
The Havoc Energy Rifle is the newest gun added to Apex Legends arsenal. As shown in the trailer below, the newly added weapon looks almost similarly like a light machine gun and can be utilized in two ways: a long-range rifle and rapid firing machine gun. This is made possible due to the fact that it has two hop-up attachments available, the Turbocharger (which is also used for the Devotion LMG) and the new SelectFire Receiver hop-up – but you can only attach one at a time. This makes the whole experience interesting as Apex Legends becomes more and more flexible when it comes to players’ preference and playstyles.
The update is already available today, so make sure you update Apex Legends and jump into King’s Canyon to try out the newly added Havoc Energy Rifle.
