Indie game development team JoyMasher and publisher The Arcade Crew recently revealed that the 2D assault retro video game Blazing Chrome will be coming to PlayStation 4.
Blazing Chrome details
The game drew inspiration from the classic games like Contra and Metal Slug. This is a fast-paced 2D game that features several characters that have tons of heavy weaponry that they can use to shoot their enemies dead in any part of the game.
The latest trailer that the developers released focused more on the game’s environments featuring the greatly detailed pixelated renditions of dystopian areas. The landscapes are filled with destroyed vehicles and broken parts of metal. They are scattered all over the place as the characters go through the desolate streets, sandy fields, forests full of snow, and some strong-looking forts.
There is also an awesome level that looks like it uses the camera angle from old-school SEGA games. These classic games could be Space Harrier or Super Thunder Blade.
The game will be launched early next year. It will be available on PlayStation 4.
