Game publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment recently announced that the PlayStation 3 classic JRPG Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition will be coming real soon.

Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed that the upcoming new port of the popular JRPG will be released on January 11, 2019. It will be available on the PlayStation 4 video game console.

Special Edition teased

Aside from the release date, the game publisher teased the Special Edition version of the video game. They showed the steelbook case and it had the design of Repede, the wolf companion of the main protagonist Yuri Lowell. Other contents were not divulged unfortunately at this time. More details will be coming real soon according to the publisher. A tweet revealed the design of the steelbook.

Definitive Edition upgrades

For gamers who did not know, the Definitive Edition of the JRPG will have an upscaled resolution and a lot of costumes and events that were not released in the west. There are also two new characters joining in that were present in the PlayStation 4 version. These characters are Flynn Scifo, the best friend and rival of Yuri, and Patty Fleur, a young amnesiac pirate.

The game also uses the special version of the Linear Motion Battle System or LMBS for short. Players who played this game can control a single character of the party. The other members will be controlled by an AI that can be set by the players. They can also switch characters at any time they want.
