MMOByte, in his video, shows that the Japanese official Twitter feed for Tower of Fantasy responded to a comment by Twitter user, Cardi, who asked if there are any plans for Tower of Fantasy to release on PS4 and PS5.
Translated, the tweet reads: “It will be played on smartphones & PCs, but the console is under development! We will let you know if there is any progress.”
This is big news considering the developers who haven’t previously expressed any interest in releasing Tower of Fantasy into consoles. As MMOByte points out, they most likely wouldn’t have even responded if there are no plans to release the game for PS4 and PS5.
Further information is provided more recently by the official English Tower of Fantasy Twitter feed which replied to Twitter user, Afrothunder, about their progress on Tower of Fantasy for consoles.
While the official Japanese Twitter feed for Tower of Fantasy confirmed that the console versions of the game were under development, the official English Twitter feed for Tower of Fantasy confirmed that there are no plans to release the game on consoles in the nearby future. This doesn’t mean that Tower of Fantasy won’t be coming to PS4, but at the moment of this writing the game is in closed beta for mobile and PC. The developers are most likely focused on releasing the game on those platforms before moving on to consoles.
A PS4 release for Tower of Fantasy is very likely. There is a lot of money to gain from players who prefer to play on consoles, especially for a game that is attempting to mimic the success of Genshin Impact.

What Is Tower of Fantasy?
Tower of Fantasy is an open world MMORPG set in an alien planet called Aida. Humanity has progressed far enough in science to begin their interstellar colonization plan. After mining the comet Mara for a mysterious yet potent energy called Omnium, humanity built the Tower of Fantasy. However soon greed began to envelop humans who wanted more Omnium and paid a severe price for it, leading to the Omnium outbreak which caused the destabilization of the social order in Aida.
Humans, animals, and plants under the influence of the Omnium outbreak gradually turned into dangerous monsters that were extremely hostile. While seemingly mindless at first, these mutated monster soon began to develop tactical awareness over the years which allowed them to cooperate with each other in medium and long-ranged operations which poses a legitimate threat to the operations of wanderers.
Players will take control of an amnesiac Wanderer in Tower of Fantasy who will help out the siblings Zeke and Shirli while completing tasks for other characters. Through interaction with the characters of Tower of Fantasy, players will begin to understand the world they’re in.
