Cyberpunk 2077 V

Cyberpunk series creator Mike Pondsmith recently revealed new information about upcoming video game Cyberpunk 2077 in regards to a certain feature.

Cyberpunk 2077 shares universe with a certain game

There were certain rumors about the upcoming RPG would have a separate timeline in contrast with a popular tabletop RPG Cyberpunk 2020. This was now debunked by the series creator.

Pondsmith recently confirmed that the upcoming RPG will share the same universe with the tabletop RPG Cyberpunk 2020. Check out his statement below:

Let’s say that at this point, we plan to continue the timeline and you will see the things that you saw in 2020, but they will somewhat be changed. And that will affect both the timeline and also the fact that cellphones went from the size of the brick to the size your thump [sic.], and than again to the size of a brick. So you are going to see some shifts in technology.

In another statement Pondsmith reiterated his confirmation of the shared universe:

There’s still an incorrect interview floating around the interwebs that states that Cyberpunk 2077 and Cyberpunk 2020 are separate timelines. To clear this up, I am posting RIGHT HERE AND NOW that the timeline is unified….

The upcoming game will launch on the PlayStation 4. There is still no announcement of its official release date
