Game developer Nihon Falcom recently revealed gameplay videos and the limited editions of upcoming action JRPG Ys IX: Monstrum Nox.

Three new characters were recently revealed by Nihon Falcom, which were Doll (previously Puppet), Renegade (previously Apostle), and Raging Bull. Check out their gameplay videos below:
Limited Edition info
The game will have a Limited Collector’s Box Limited Edition in Japan. It will be priced 9800 Yen plus tax. The contents include:
- Novel tentatively titled Ys IX The Day Before ~The Lost Dragon Sword~
- Adol and the Monstrum wanted posters. Each will have unique information on the characters including walkthrough-like information to help players in the game.
- Ys IX Original Soundtrack Mini Code: Black, an OST with certain BGMs from the game.
The novel will be set before the beginning of the game. This is where Adol and Dogi left Altago following the events of Ys Seven. They were heading towards Balduk in the Gilia Eltlingen region, located in the north of the contintent of Elesia. They end up saving a certain blacksmith and get involved in an incident involving the treasured sword Cariosilion.
The first print copies of the game will include the Ys IX Original Soundtrack Mini Code: Red, which is another OST CD version. It will be included in the Limited Edition as well.
The game will launch on Sept. 26 in Japan. It will be available on PlayStation 4. No details on western release yet, but it will be coming over later.
