Game developer Nihon Falcom recently revealed some new information in the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation magazine about the upcoming video game sequel Ys: IX: Monstrum Nox.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox new info on Adol and the rest of the party

The latest information about the upcoming video game sequel revealed some important details about the two playable characters. It also has the statement from Falcom’s president Toshihiro Kondo.

The magazine revealed that the five playable Monstrum characters did not use real names and instead have nicknames based after animals. The white-haired cat girl has the nickname White Cat, while the dual-wielding blonde guy is called Hawk. There were other NPCs introduced as well.

There are now seven party members that are playable including Adol, the five Monstrum, and a new red-scarf wearing character. Just like the previous titles, this will have party members with different attack attributes. It was teased that the game developers have not called Adol as his name, Adol. This might mean there is something going on with his character right now, and this might even mean there are some complications.

Falcom even tweeted a new image with the silhouette of the character that looked like Adol. The caption stated that the official site of the upcoming video game will be updated in the next few days.

The game will launch this coming Fall in Japan. It will be available exclusively on PlayStation 4.
