Yakuza 4 Remaster Japanese Release Date Officially Announced

Yakuza 4 title

Game company SEGA recently revealed on a certain popular Japanese gaming manga publication the release date of upcoming video game remaster of Yakuza 4.

Yakuza 4 Remaster release date revealed

After the successful release of Yakuza 3 remaster in Japan back in August, SEGA has now announced that the fourth iteration of the Yakuza series will be coming early next year. The game will be out in Japan on January 17, 2019. The others will be pushed back since it was initially announced that the fourth title was to launch in fall 2018. This means the others will be pushed a bit back. Unfortunately, there are no announcements that the three remasters will be coming to the west.

Voice actor changes

The game will also have changes in terms of voice actors. Masayoshi Tanimura, one of the game’s main characters, has some lines that needed re-recording. Unfortunately, the original voice actor Hiroki Narimiya has already retired from voice acting in the time since the original’s initial release. Tanimura’s lines will be re-recorded with Toshiki Masuda, a popular Japanese voice actor and stage actor.

The game will be launched on PlayStation 4.
