Ubisoft appoints new CFO

The current Chief Financial Officer Alain Martinez will now officially retire from the Ubisoft game company at the end of 2018. The one who will take over the position will be Frederick Duguet, who is the current Chief Financial Planning Officer and has held that position since 2009.

CEO Yves Guillemot stated that the change will start in the coming months. He also gave a comment about the change:

The appointment of Frédérick as Ubisoft’s Chief Financial Officer is excellent news for the Group. His expertise, intimate knowledge of the company and deep understanding of the value creation drivers in the video game industry are all assets that will greatly aid Ubisoft in its new development phase. On behalf of all Ubisoft teams, I would like to express my most sincere gratitude to Alain for his unfailing commitment throughout his 19 years with the company. With passion and rigour, Alain has been instrumental in shaping Ubisoft’s success and the Group’s profile as we know it today.

Duguet will be working with Martinez first in a couple of months so that the transition will be smooth. The change will be effective starting January 1, 2019.
