Top 5 Best PlayStation Games of September 2021

September has just ended and it gave us lots of good games. Of what I played so far, I reminisce on what is the cream of the crop of those games. This list is not limited to exclusive PlayStation Games. Here is my top 5 of the Best PlayStation Games from September in no particular order:

Tales of Arise

Tales of Arise has been one of the best Tales of Game ever since the good old days. As per our sister site Sirus Gaming’s review, “The game is worth playing as the content was worth the wait. I enjoyed the 37 hours I’ve put into playing this game. In fact, I have even higher expectations for future Tales games in the coming years. I highly recommend gamers to play the demo first as you not only get free DLC from it but will also get a chance to know more about its new features and what to expect in the game. Tales of Arise is truly a masterpiece and is worthy of a game that celebrates 25 years of Tales games and that means a lot to many JRPG fans worldwide.”

Astria Ascending

Astria Ascending is another JRPG with a refreshing take on the turn based combat. It’s a mixture of a platformer and turn based RPG mechanics. It’s a call back to the great JRPG’s from before so it has that nostalgia factor but contained in an all new modern tale. Check out my review here to know more about the game.

Kena: Bridge of Spirits

Kena: Bridge of Spirits is a story about Kena as she goes on a journey to help the spirits find peace. Probably one of the best games to come out for the PlayStation this September. It has already gained a lot of good reviews from other publications. Our sister site, Sirus Gaming gave this a 10. You can check out their review of the game here.

Death Stranding: Director’s Cut

Although Death Stranding had already come out way back. The Director’s Cut takes it a little further with enhanced graphics and more content. It is such a shame, that PS4 owners would not be able to enjoy this game all over again. However, for those lucky enough to get a PS5 will find that this game still has so much to offer even if you have already played it. Check out my review of the game here.

Deathloop

Deathloop has a very interesting story that keeps you coming right back in. A story that takes you looping time over and over but getting more knowledge and skills is a great way to make it into a soulslike game. The multiplayer aspect is also fun as you try to stop Colt from completing his work. It’s probably the only Bethesda game that the PlayStation will ever have left but it was worth it. Check out my review here.

Honorable Mention

Life is Strange: True Colors

I feel like this game is underrated due to the fact that it came out when a lot of the other great games came out. But having to experience a brand new story in the Life is Strange universe is always worth playing. As we grow along with Alex Chen as she uses her powers of empathy it really got me curious how she was to use this new power. I can say I wasn’t disappointed in the outcome and it’s a game worth playing just for the story itself. You can check our review of the game here.

The Medium

The Medium was initially an Xbox timed exclusive game. Now that it has arrived to the PlayStation. I was able to play it and I couldn’t get enough of it. I loved the puzzles that it provided because it made you think outside of the realms of the human world. You can check out more of the game in my review here.
