Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and A New Plants Vs. Zombies Game To Launch This Year

Electronic Arts’ history of stirring up flames in the past years have resulted in the community looking down on the publisher’s ability to keep a healthy reputation. They have been known for their misuse of loot boxes and microtransaction. If we look at Star Wars Battlefront II in 2017, it was a major mess. What’s worse was that they shut the operations down at Visceral Games and transferred a narrative-focused Star Wars game to EA Vancouver, but that didn’t even last long since it was announced last month that EA canceled the open-world Star Wars game.

In a recent earnings call, Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is expected to release in Fall 2019. Furthermore, they mentioned that there will be a new Plants vs. Zombies game as well — this may be Plants vs. Zombies 3 or may it be Garden Warfare 3, who knows? The publisher is also looking at Anthem’s success this month expecting to have the same results as Apex Legends, however, this looks rather dim as Anthem’s VIP Demo was a huge failure due to bugs, glitches, and server issues. Unlike Apex Legends, Anthem didn’t get as many players on the day they opened their open demo. BioWare’s inability to stabilize a server can highly affect the game’s reputation. Hopefully this next few weeks before its launch, the studio can fix any server issues to prepare for the upcoming players racing through the doorsteps of its servers.

We hope that Anthem will be a success knowing that it does have a huge potential and that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order wouldn’t get canceled.
