Square Enix LinkedIn Might Have Hinted PlayStation 5

PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5?

Game company Square Enix recently updated its LinkedIn profile and it seems to be hinting some intriguing information about Sony’s plans for the future.

Square Enix LinkedIn hints PS5

The gaming company recently updated its LinkedIn profile and it has revealed something interesting: the developers are now working on an AAA title for the PlayStation 5. It was listed in a certain category.

Tomohiro Tokoro is a lead 3D character artist with Luminous Productions. This is actually one of the divisions of Square Enix Group that was started by the former director Hajime Tabata. The experience section features an entry that states New AAA Title for PS5, whichis the first time a job listing references a next-gen console by name. Other companies would just post a next generation label rather than specifically naming that console system.

Sony has not officially confirmed or named PS5 yet, but the company has recently indicated that they are now planning for the next-generation consoles and are currently developing it. The new revelation might just be something that Tokoro just labeled as PS5 on his own and he only knew that he is working on the next game for Sony’s next-gen system.

Several reports indicate that the PS5 might be released in 2020. If Sony will follow the previous trends and if the reports are true, it might get revealed at an exclusive event like E3. It might also be an indication that the recent skip of that said event by Sony might hint that it is now gearing up for a big announcement by 2020. Take it by a grain of salt, but there is a hint there.
