In an exclusive interview with a gaming publication, game developer Insomniac Games revealed that Marvel’s Spider-Man would not exist if not for Sony.

Spider-Man existed because Sony

Creative director Bryan Intihar revealed that recently popular video game’s existence happened because their publisher Sony made it so. He said:

It really all aligned. We’ve worked with Sony for so long over the years. Working with them again was awesome… This game would not exist if it wasn’t for PlayStation, if not for their support. I’m telling you, anytime I wanted to do something and I wanted to make some drastic change, it was just like, ‘okay.’ I never heard about anything. It was just like, ‘go do it.’ The question was, ‘is it gonna make the game better?’ and I’d say, ‘yep’, and they’d go, ‘okay’, and that would be the last time I’d hear about it. So many people want to talk about Marvel and Insomniac, which it’s awesome… But I owe everything to PlayStation.

The effort and love poured into this game is quite apparent when players go through the city. All of the detail and gameplay are quite peculiar and players could easily see how much time and effort was poured into it just to make it realistic, fun to play, and easy to navigate with the web sling mechanic.

The game is currently and exclusively available on the PlayStation 4.
