If you haven’t heard yet, Capcom’s highly-anticipated remake of Resident Evil 2 just got its demo released on PlayStation Store a couple of days ago (it’s still available for download if you didn’t get to try it yet). Even though the demo is limited to only 30 minutes before you get locked out from playing it again, it seems that there are certain versions of the game depending on the region has significant differences.
A video was posted over on Twitter comparing both US and Japanese versions of Resident Evil 2: Remake, thanks to the Managing Editor of Dorkly, Tristan Cooper. You can see on the video below that any brutal or gore you get to come across during your playthrough on the Japanese version is significantly dialed down.

So if you’re living in Japan and you do not want any limitation with Resident Evil 2: Remake’s top-notch brutality then you’ll have to get a US or EU copy of the game.
Resident Evil 2 originally launched on the original PlayStation in 1998 and the game was praised for its horror atmosphere, story, characters, and level design. Now, Capcom has completely revived the terrorizing game that was once hailed to be the best horror game of its time. Resident Evil 2: Remake launches on PS4 this January 25, 2018.
