PlayStation Vita Finally Ending Productions In Few Days

Game company Sony Interactive Entertainment recently revealed that it will halt their production of the PlayStation Vita in the next coming days.

When viewing the official Japanese page of the PS Vita, the description says that the new shipments for the once popular portable console of Sony will be ending in the next few days. It was announced before officially by the senior vice president Hiroyuki Oda that it will end its production sometime in 2019. He also confirmed that it will not have a successor since they did not plan to have one.

Even if the PS Vita will end its production, the games will still keep going for a bit in Japan. Unlike in the past, the production of games of the handheld is now dwindling as well. Many western developers have also announced their final releases on it as well like NIS America.

The PS Vita was first launched in December 2011 in Japan and February 2012 in the west.
