Sony PlayStation Worldwide Marketing senior vice president Eric Lempel recently announced the official PlayStation Classic Mini-Console.

The original PlayStation console will have a new miniaturized version called the PlayStation Classic. It will come pre-loaded with 20 classic titles that nostalgic fans will love. These popular classic titles include Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, Wild Arms, Final Fantasy VII, and more.
This upcoming mini console is approximately 45 percent smaller than the original version of the PlayStation console. It still emulates the original look and feel. It features the nostalgic controllers and the packaging too with the reset, power, and eject buttons. The eject button, however, has a new feature since this will not a disc reader function.
The fans that came from the original version’s era will definitely appreciate the nostalgia that comes with rediscovering the classic games that they know and love. The newcomers will also experience something new to the platform since this was the one that started it all. All of the pre-loaded games will be playable in their original format and in HDMI form.
The mini console is now available for pre-order at certain retailers across the United States and Canada. Each unit will have an HDMI cable, a USB cable, and two controllers for local multiplayer. The whole package has a price tag of $99.99 USD and $129.99 CAN. It will be available on Dec. 3.
