PlayStation 5 has just turned one today. Over at the PlayStation blog Jim Ryan has stated a few words to commemorate the first year of PlayStation 5.
He mentioned how there are great games that have been launched in its first year including Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Deathloop, and Returnal. He also mentioned how they successfully acquire new development studios which are Housemarque who made Returnal, Blupoint Games who made the Demon’s Soul remake, Firesprite who is making Star Citizen, and Nixxes who collaborated with Eidos Montreal and Square Enix to create the Tomb Raider trilogy reboot.
He also mentioned how they have revealed new footages for God of War Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7 and Horizon Forbidden West which are all PlayStation exclusive games. He also mentioned that the next gen VR is in development and that Star Wars: The Old Republic remake is also coming to the PlayStation.
He proudly exclaimed that there have been more than 360 games were launched for the PS5 and that there are 25 games being developed in the PlayStation Studios for the PS5.
He also proclaimed that more than 4.6 billion hours of gameplay on PS5 was made and more than 26 million hours of gameplay has been broadcasted. That is impressive considering it still has been difficult to secure a PlayStation 5.

As a closing note, Jim Ryan assures gamers that they will continue to doing everything in his power to ship as many PS5 consoles as possible and that it is their top priority.
