A new system software update has been released today for the PS5.
If you were one of the lucky few that has got a PlayStation 5, you want to make sure that you always have the latest update for the system software.
Unlike previous updates, there doesn’t seem to be any noticeable changes on the system unlike the huge update that was released in September. You can check out the details from the patch notes for the October 20 update here.
What is the PS5 update for October 20?
As I mentioned earlier, there doesn’t seem to be any noticeable changes to the system with this new update. Sony has not yet officially announced regarding what the update is for or whether there were any major changes in this recent update.

The new PlayStation 5 System Software update comes in at the usual size of previous patches which is 913.5MB. When Sony releases minor updates, they usually come at a size of around 900MB.
