Game publisher Atlus recently announced that there will be numerous new Personas that will be appearing in upcoming video game version Persona 5 Royal.
Persona 5 Royal adds new Persona
The newest Persona that can be acquired in this new version of the game is the legendary dragon Fafnir. His appearance here is quite different from what everyone knows in legends. He has somewhat a human face and most of his body is made out of metal. He even has a humanoid form with a tail.
In the franchise, Fafnir appeared in recent Shin Megami Tensei games like Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor: Overclocked, and Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 2: Record Breaker.
Sony reveals series is important to PlayStation
In other related news, a report revealed that Sony Interactive said that the Persona series is a very important franchise for the PlayStation platforms. SIE Japan Asia president Atsushi Morita said in a statement that the series is one of the Japanese IPs that can compete internationally. He hopes that they can continue walking together in the future.
The game will launch on PlayStation 4. It will be available in Japan this coming Oct. 31, while the west will have to wait for spring 2020.
