Maid Of Sker First-Person Survival Horror Announced With Trailer

Maid of Sker Sker House

Game developer Wales Interactive recently revealed a brand new first-person survival horror video game called Maid of Sker with an awesome teaser trailer.

Maid of Sker details

Wales Interactive introduced a brand new teaser trailer that featured the horror video game. This is to be a first-person survival horror with stealth gameplay and no weapons, which makes it interesting. Players will be journeying in a remote hotel that has a horrific history of Welsh folklore, and also based in real life. This is actually based on a true story of a woman called Elizabeth Williams set in 1898. The protagonist is Thomas Evans who is desperately trying to save the woman he loves in and around the Sker house.

Trap construction

The game will focus on stealth and will not allow players to wield weapons, but they can use traps to hinder the enemy. They will also have to be wary of the sound that those traps make. The story is actually not linear and it will have multiple threads and choices that will lead to different endings.

Realistic visuals

Players will be in for a treat because the visuals will be realistic and in 4K quality. They will listen to 3D sounds based on an AI system that makes creeping around, running, hiding, and distracting enemies very realistic to hear.

The co-founder and managing director David Banner states:

We are taking inspiration from R.D. Blackmore’s 19th century novel, The Maid of Sker, and the original Welsh ballad, Y Ferch o’r Sger, but telling the story in a truly sinister way, with multiple endings that will be discovered depending on the player’s actions. Expect to play a truly terrifying survival horror that reignites one of the most haunting tales in Wales.

The game will launch next year in the third quarter. It will be available both digitally and physically on PlayStation 4.
