Judgment Reveals New Features Trailers With Two Versions

Judgment protagonist

Game publisher SEGA recently released a new trailer with two versions of it for the upcoming video game Judgment, which was made by the creators of the Yakuza series.

Judgment new trailer showcases its features

The new trailer for the upcoming video game introduces the new features that it offers with differences and similarities from the Yakuza series. Here is an overview by SEGA:

Kamurocho isn’t exactly known for being the safest place in Japan, but even for this red-light district, a string of violent serial murderers has the entire city on edge. It’s up to private detective Takayuki Yagami and his partner Kaito to track down the truth using whatever tools they can. Get a look at just some of those tools (including a drone, lockpicks, and the muscles of a huge former yakuza member, to name just a few) in our new Features Trailer!

Judgment features dual audio tracks in Japanese and English, as well as full English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish subtitles.

Reason for two different English subtitle tracks

The localization producer of the game recently explained the reason why there are two different English subtitle tracks for the upcoming video game. Essentially the reason was that the English dub subtitles sometimes did not match with the Japanese voice overs. Now that this game will finally start with English voiceovers, they wanted the subtitles to mirror with what the English actors are saying, and have a translated version of the subtitles for the Japanese voice overs.

The game will launch this coming June 25, which was revealed yesterday. It will be exclusively released on PlayStation 4.
