God Of War Director Explains DLC Plans Were Too Ambitious To Make

God of war fight

God of War game director Cory Barlog recently made a statement explaining the reason why the developers did not opt for a DLC that became too ambitious in scope.

God of War director Cory Barlog explains

A lot of fans of the latest title of the video game series really wanted some kind of major DLC or expansion, but that will be unlikely and Barlog explains it quite clearly. In a recent interview, he stated that he had a really fun idea for a DLC in mind, but after a while he felt that it became too ambitious for the scope of a standalone chapter in the story. He added that if it was added, it would have been its own thing to be fully realized. He also said that the other team members felt that if they attempted to add this idea, the scale would have been crazy and a little too big.

Barlog’s plans for DLC or any expansion in the future will have to be put on hold, but he did say that he is already content with the overall release of the game. He also felt that he already gave a complete story from start to end.

The game is now available on PlayStation 4.
