EVO 2019 Fighters Revealed, Notable Additions Announced

With increasing attendees, EVO has been the longest running and largest fighting game tournament in the world. This event brings together people all around the globe to bring about their competitive spirit and hopefully emerge as this years champion. EVO during their official live stream announced nine titles to be fighting in their arena this year.

Players will be competing in tournaments for the following games:

  • BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle
  • Dragon Ball FighterZ
  • Mortal Kombat 11
  • Samurai Shodown
  • SoulCalibur VI
  • Street Fighter V
  • Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
  • Tekken 7
  • Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late[st]

Interesting additions include Mortal Kombat 11 and Samurai Showdown as these games are not yet released. These two titles are playable by second quarter of this year and fingers crossed EVO-ready when its time to battle.

Fans of Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2 and Dead or Alive 6 may be saddened as these titles didn’t make it to the final cut. Although Dragon Ball Fighter is part of the lineup, it only squeezed itself as this title may be seeing his last year on EVO. However final order of the lineup is not decided yet.

Thoughts on the lineup? Titles that should’ve been included? Let us know!
