Death Stranding Gets Two New Characters On TGS 2018 Reveal

Death Stranding Golden Mask

Head of Kojima Productions Hideo Kojima recently revealed two new characters of upcoming mystery video game Death Stranding during the Tokyo Game Show 2018 event.

Death Stranding characters revealed

The first of the two new characters is played by Tommie Earl Jenkins and voiced in Japan by Metal Gear Solid Solid Snake voice actor Akio Otsuka. For now, the name of the character is shrouded in mystery, but we know that he is Sam’s boss. At a later time, the developers will reveal the reason why he wears a mask.

The next character to be mention by Kojima during the event was the man in the golden mask and was introduced with a new trailer together with the main protagonist. The surprising factor was that he was played by none other than Troy Baker and he is voiced by Satoshi Mikami in Japan. He also revealed that the cutscene was running on PlayStation 4.

Otsuka commented that the character with a golden mask might not be inherently evil and might even be part of the same company as Sam. Kojima stated that aside from the golden mask, he wears another one.

Artworks

Kojima also revealed several new artworks done by legendary artist Yoji Shinkawa. The characters in the new artworks were Sam Porter Bridges, Lindsay Wagner’s character, Lea Seydoux’s character, Mads Mikkelsen’s character, Troy Baker’s character, and Guillermo Del Toro’s model over 3D scans.
