Game developer CD Projekt Red confirmed that the upcoming sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077 will have large post-launch expansions.
2077 confirms expansions
Projekt Red UI coordinator Alvin Liu recently gave a statement in an exclusive
interview with Prima Games about post-launch content.
We are talking about expansions in the future. We want to make sure everything’s complete, but we also want to build open worlds. I know when I was playing The Witcher 3 and I finished everything, I still want to know what everyone was up to. I think we’re going to have opportunities like that as well for Cyberpunk 2077.
Liu made sure to declare that these expansions are not
content cut from the main game and monetized as DLC. He reiterated that the
game at launch will be a full version.
In a related news, fans of the game have already started
a petition to put a You’re Breathtaking achievement in it after Keanu Reeve’s
memorable cameo appearance at E3 2019.
The game will launch on April 16, 2020. It will be available
on PlayStation 4.
