Cyberpunk 2077 CD Projekt RED Very Aware Of FPS Issue

Cyberpunk 2077 game developer CD Projekt RED stated that they are very aware that a lot of people do not like the first-person perspective or FPS. One of the heads explains their choice of perspective.

Cyberpunk 2077 FPS decision

Quest designer Patrick Mills told a publication in an exclusive interview the feedback they got from revealing that the game will have an FPS perspective. He confirmed that they will not change the perspective, but they are aware that a lot of people do not like it.

“We are firm in that decision. However, we’re very aware that a lot of people don’t like first-person, and there is a small number of people who can’t play first-person for a variety of reasons,” Mills said.

However, Mills did mention that the development team is now looking into offering difficulty options and sensibility options. This might manage to turn the game in the FPS game that some will like or that they might be able to play.

Features objectification as major theme

In other news, CD Projekt RED revealed that the game will feature objectification as a major theme. Even the NPCs will react to the protagonist’s looks and clothes. Mills confirmed this and said that this is a world where the system and the powers that be have objectified people. They have also literally turned them into objects.

Mills also said that prostitution and prostitutes will be present in Night City. He did say that he does not know if players can interact with them in this game.
