Borderlands 3 Officially Revealed With First Trailer

Borderlands 3 villains Calypso

Game developer Gearbox Software finally confirmed that there will be a new sequel for the Borderlands series: Borderlands 3.

Borderlands 3 is official

The third title of the Borderlands titles is part of The Year of Borderlands. This was recently revealed at the developer’s PAX East panel with a brand new trailer showcasing a lot of stuff. It featured tons of explosions, new faces, some villains, a big dinosaur breathing fire, and guns. Tons of guns.

There are a few interesting scenes shown in the trailer like the Children of the Vault camp with its entrance showing signs referring to a person named Calypso. This is the villain and she is shown on the next scene with a sidekick. There is no solid confirmation yet, but fans are speculating they are the main villains in this title.

Lilith appeared in the trailer, which got her debut as a playable character in the first title. She might become a playable character here too, but it seemed she will play a vital part in the game. Four characters were also introduced, which should be the main ones that can be played.

One of the major features that this trailer showed was the number of guns that will be included. It proudly revealed that there will be 1 billion types of them. Talk about serious firepower.

The upcoming video game will launch on PlayStation 4. No release date yet, but more information will be revealed on April 3.
