Azur Lane: Crosswave Introduces New Characters Suruga, Shimakaze

Azur Lane: Crosswave Shimakaze

Game developer Compile Heart recently announced new playable characters for upcoming naval battle RPG Azur Lane: Crosswave.

Azur Lane: Crosswave reveals two new characters

There are two new playable characters that will be added to the upcoming video game, which are Shimakaze and Suruga. Shimakaze will be voiced by Sayori Hayami and was illustrated by Kouhaku Kuroboshi. She has a cute bunny ear headband to compliment her rather petite body.

The second character is Suruga, who is voiced by Aya Endo and illustrated by Fuzichoco. She has ram horns for some reason, and has a white naval military uniform.

Players will be able to control these two characters and explore the sea map. Several encounters can be experienced and unique conversational events can happen.

Difference

This version is a big improvement to the smartphone version, and now has become a full-length RPG. As the story progresses, players will be able to encounters new characters and some become comrades. Just like the mobile version, they can designate their favorite characters as Secretary Ships as well.

An extreme battle mode is available. This allows players to battle against wave after wave of strong opponents. A photo mode is also included that allows them to take photos of their favorite characters and share them.

The game will launch on PlayStation 4. It will be available in Japan on Aug. 29, hopefully in the west as well.
