Anthem Public Demo Improvement Details

So the Anthem VIP demo wasn’t exactly the most polished experienced ever. Players have reported numerous bugs and glitches as well as connection issues. It was clear that Anthem has a long way to go before it is stable for launch. Bioware has taken note of all the feedback and is taking measures to fix their game.

The public demo is right around the corner this February 1st and Bioware Head of Live Service, Chad Robertson, has given us a list of what they have already fixed or are currently fixing for this demo.

  • Entitlement bugs
  • Server performance updates to address much of the rubber-banding
  • Fixes for infinite loads and more being investigated
  • Platform bugs to validate Javelin unlocks
  • Client and platform login bugs

Chad stated out that they are currently busy this week for the incoming players this Friday. They wanted to verify that the infinite loading screen problems were solved that was a source of frustration for many players.

The real version of the game, however, already has a ton of bugs and glitches fixed that sadly won’t make it to the public demo. Such things include:

  • Weapons with 0% infusions
  • Weapons with bonus that applies to different Javelins
  • Plot integrity / party gather issues
  • Changes to Javelin unlock behavior
  • Fixes for losing XP at end of some expeditions
  • Performance Improvements
  • Additional stability fixes
  • A Social Hub: The Launch Bay

Apparently, this list also includes a thousand more fixes in the full launch of the game. Bioware has stated out that they appreciate the response from the players and that they had nearly 9.2 million hours of play across the 2 and a half days the demo was available. They will also be looking forward for more feedback from the public demo.
