Activision’s Deadpool and Ghosbusters Along with 14 Game Titles Removed from PSN

2019 has not really been a groovy year for Activision. Not to mention the laying off of hundreds of employees earlier this year, it’s really going downhill from there. Gaming communities will now be criticizing them even further as they pulled the plug on 14 titles in PSN this year supposedly due to an end in licensing deal.

This is not something new as licensing deals end all the time. Just like what happened to music games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero, both songs are no longer available for purchase in PSN. This has also recently happened to LEGO The Lord of the Rings and LEGO The Hobbit.

See below the full list of Activision titles thas got pulled out:

  • Angry Birds Star Wars
  • Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
  • Deadpool
  • Ghostbusters
  • Marvel Ultimate Alliance
  • Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan
  • The Amazing Spider-Man 2
  • The Legend of Korra
  • Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5
  • Transformers Devastation
  • Transformers: Fall of Cybertron
  • Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark.
  • White Night

That’s a lot on the list, I know! But seeing that we are pushing to an all-digital future. This is now inevitable as keeping these licenses are quite expensive in a business perspective. How to solve this then?

However if you have the physical copies of the titles then you may be able to play them. If you have also bought the game digitally before they got pulled out, you will be able to play them too without any worries. But for future players, it might be a tad too late.
