Game developer Asobo Studios recently released a brand new gameplay overview trailer of upcoming video game A Plague Tale: Innocence.

The new gameplay trailer is uncut and showed what players have in store for them. They will have to face swarms of rats, and will have to deal with them in order to move forward or survive. The importance of light and fire is highlighted because that is what scares the little critters. It also shows Amicia and Hugo’s terrifying journey as they are forced to leave their home, and evade either the flesh-hungry rats or the relentless Inquisition.
The trailer showed a glimpse of the alchemy system that is important for the survival of the two. It needs crafting resources that can be found on travels. Weapons derived from this system can either kill their foes or help them when in need.
The game will launch on PlayStation 4. It will be available on May 14.
