Darksiders 3 Will Have More Gameplay Focus With Less On Story

Darksiders 3 Fury

Game developer Gunfire Games assures fans that upcoming action adventure video game Darksiders 3 will have tons of gameplay and less content on story.

Darksiders 3 focus on gameplay content

Gunfire Games Co-Founder David Adams told the Official PlayStation Magazine that they will assure the fans that the third installment will mostly be about gameplay. This was to address the complaints made by the fans against the previous installment, Darksiders II. Some gamers found the game to be rich in lore and story, most of the fans did not want to focus on that and wanted more gameplay.

Adams clarified that the third game will have cool cutscenes and narration talking about the Sins with some cool key story moments, but the players will not be bombarded by it. They will be running around the game world fighting against monsters and other opponents. They will also have to solve some puzzles that will keep them busy.

Built-in mechanic revealed

Aside from the gameplay focus news, Adams revealed that the third title will have a built-in mechanic. This will match the world with the player’s power as it grows during the game. They will have to take care of how many Sins they will kill in the game because if they kill one, the world levels up. Gamers are advised to defeat the Sins at their own pace or else it might become a burden for them.

The game will be showcased during the Gamescom 2018 event soon. There are also other titles to be featured as well like Remnant: From the Ashes.

The third game will launch on PlayStation 4. It will also launch on Xbox One and PC this coming Nov. 27.
