Game developer Sledgehammer Games recently announced a brand new in-game event called Covert Storm for FPS video game Call of Duty: WWII.
Call of Duty: WWII gets new event
The new event called Covert Storm will be just like the previous ones, but this time around there will be a lot of free content. It will add three new weapons to the game which are the AS-44 assault rifle, the Proto X-1 submachine gun, and the VMG 1927 light-machine gun.
Aside from the weapons, new animated camouflages and a new community challenge have finally been added to the game. This is all part of the event.
Compared to the previous events that were implemented, there will be no new maps that will be added to the game with the Covert Storm update. The reason could be that this will be the last event of this title before Black Ops 4 will be released in October. The event is currently live right now in-game.
The video game is now available on PlayStation 4.
